Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Glimpse: the website at glimpse.video and the desktop app. By creating an account or using Glimpse, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 years old, or 16 where the law requires it, to use Glimpse. Give accurate details, keep your password safe, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You’re responsible for what happens in it.
Your clips
Your clips are yours. To run Glimpse, you allow us to store them, process them (for example, to make the MP4, GIF and thumbnail versions), and show them to the people you choose to share them with. That permission ends when you delete a clip, apart from copies that remain briefly in backups.
You choose who can watch each clip. “Anyone with the link” means exactly that: anyone who has the link can watch it, so share links with care. You’re responsible for what you record and share.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Glimpse to:
- record or share anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights;
- share other people’s private information, or record people where the law needs their consent and you don’t have it;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or share hateful or sexually explicit material;
- spread malware or spam, or deceive people;
- try to break, overload or get around Glimpse’s security, or reach other people’s accounts or clips;
- host files for other websites or apps, instead of sharing clips.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Paid plans
Some features need a paid subscription. Before you subscribe, we show the price, the billing period, what’s included and how refunds work. Taxes such as VAT may be added depending on where you live.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. We’ll tell you before changing the price of your plan, and a new price applies only from your next billing period.
The desktop app
We give you a personal, non-transferable right to install and use the Glimpse app on your computers while you have an account. We release updates to fix problems and add features.
Changes to Glimpse
We’re always working on Glimpse, so features may change, and it may occasionally be unavailable. We’ll give notice before removing anything significant when we can.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page, which also deletes your clips. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or when the law requires it.
Disclaimer
Glimpse is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update them here and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll let you know by email or in the app first. If you keep using Glimpse after that, you accept the new terms.
